WA Over 70's - 2015 Match Reports

WA vs QLD - Monday, September 28, 2015 at CHC Rainforest

The game commenced in mild conditions at 08.00 on the new pitch that has a large camber for tropical drainage and plays dry and bouncy.

WA has been developing a controlled short passing game which proved to offer more calm offence against the QLD side.

In the first quarter John Jeffries scored with a crisp hit at the edge of the circle off a rebounding kick from the QLD goalie.

QLD replied in the second quarter with the equaliser. In the third quarter Harler scored with a flick close to the left post.

Les Waldon [awarded player of the match] controlled the WA defence and initiated many of the attacking plays.

The game was played end to end and with all WA members putting in an evenly balanced team effort to provide well structured attacks into the QLD defensive circle.

A pleasing result first up. The VIC's tomorrow evening at 20.15.
