WA Over 35's - 2007 Match Reports

WA vs NSW - Friday, September 28, 2007

A hard fought midfield game with some quick breaks from both teams. Kellie was very unlucky with a great deflection from a pass from Tammy – the Goalkeeper had no idea where the ball was, saved it though.

Robbie dominated the midfield and Rex made some great saves (and dives) in the second half.

CC knocked a goal in off a short corner with 10 minutes to go, but unfortunately New South Wales equalised with 3.5 minutes to go – Rex’s 4 minutes curse.

Result: WA 1 - NSW 1

Goal scorer: Carolyn Combes (one of our virgins)

WA vs VIC - Saturday, September 29, 2007

Match report pending.

Result: WA 0 - VIC 1

WA vs TAS - Sunday, September 30, 2007

Match report pending.

On Monday (our rest day), half the team climbed Sydney Harbour Bridge and the other half went on a Jet Boat trip on Sydney Harbour.

Result: WA 1 - TAS 4

Goal scorer: Robbie Himbeck Penalty Stroke

WA vs QLD - Tuesday, October 2

Solid first half with WA dominating and Quinty putting in an excellent field goal 4 minutes into the game. Second half Queensland came out firing and put our defence under pressure. To the credit of the WA team, they battled hard but on the day were outclassed by a stronger side. The score does not reflect the determination and skills of the WA team.

Result: WA 1 - QLD 7

Goal scorer: Wendy Quint
