Final - WA1 vs NSW - Saturday, October 14, 2006

Our WA O/65 No 1 side after a slow start, including a start up loss to WA 2 and to NSW in the prelims, finally got our act together to storm home with a record 6-1 victory over NSW in the final to defend our gold medal from last year.

It was a convincing win with all goals being scored from field play.

Bala scored the goal of the tournament with a headlong dive along the turf to tip the ball in around the post.
He unfortunately suffered concussion and a damaged nose for the effort but has made a full recovery.
Unfortunately for Bala, he can't remember what happened after the dive so he has limited memories to retain about the great goal.

Result: WA1 6 - NSW 1
